Cause the Effect

Authors' Note: This piece is about what had gone on in her life; what she had to do to make things the way they used to be.

Elizabeth is loosing her best friend, Celia, as she keeps disappearing. Shes writing letters from where she is, but it doesn't quite say where. She needs to find her. But how? Celia might be getting replaced. She is now talking to "the cutest guy alive," and he wants to help her.  The only way Elizabeth can think is by running over 13K. She runs every night, with her dog Looche. When Elizabeth comes home from school one day, to find her dog dead, she goes crazy. Her life has changed so much. She has to write to a pin pal, meet up with her dad again, and she finds out she has a step brother, and a step mom. She cant take it. She has to take it step by step. This might not be what you wanted it to be, but you can't just change your life for it.

It's even harder for her to get letters from random associations. For example, The Cold Hard Truth Association, The Society of People Who Are Defiantly Going To Fail High school (and Most Probably Life as Well), and The Best Friends Club. The worst, The Association of Teenagers, which tells her she is terrible at being a teenager. One of the quotes, "Not to hurt your feelings or anything, but you are an embarrassment to teenagerhood. Therefore, could you please climb into the refrigerator and wait very quitly until your teenager years end? Thank you might as well just hide from life until your teenager years are over. Thank you," is just plain rude. This just makes her life more and more difficult.

Just a minute. When she starts to take to this boy, these letters just get better and better. The Romance Association is now sending her these notes. She is starting to wear making and act like a lady. The only thing missing is Celia. They still haven't found her. This train ride just gets more boring by the minute. Elizabeth doesn't know what she has done with her life. Finally they arrived. They found Celia, at a circus. Her life has just reached maximum weirdness. This wouldn't have ever happened if Celia had just stayed home. She wouldn't have meet the boy. Never would have changed into a girly-girl. Her life would have just been normal, but no. It had to change. Don't change your life if nothing goes the way you want it to.
