There are many books in the Clique series, almost 18 books, and they are so fun to read. But in this essay I will only be focusing on the Fourth book. In the serious there are geeks, jocks, Brairwood Academy boys, and of course the popular girls. The main Characters are the Massie, Claire, Kristen, Dylan, Alicia, and a couple of other people, but these girls think they own the school. They all go to school at Octavian Country Day (OCD). Except the boys who go to Brairwood. I think this is a great series for teenagers or pre-teens, because it has a lot of action, comedy, drama, and a little bit of romance.
In this series Claire Lyons is a new girl coming from Florida and living in Massie Blocks guest house, In the fourth book Alicia’s cousin Nina comes from Spain and starts more drama then there used to be. There is this dance coming up in the fourth book and the girls from OCD get to choose any Briarwood boy as there date. So Nina (the new girl) decides to choose two guys to go with.But those two guys are Cam(Claire’s boyfriend) and Derrington(Massie’s crush). All of the girls are starting to get annoyed of Nina even her cousin Alicia. But then once they figure out she steals a lot of things. Alicia, Massie, and Claire are starting to get revenge by using Claire's little brother’s spy camera.
During the dance Kristen and Dylan made a bet about who will get their first kiss first. When they were alone with the boys, all of a sudden the fire alarm went off and neither of them got the bet. If they had won that bet they would have gotten three pairs of Nina’s boots. But they weren't even Nina’s boots, they were her sisters that Nine had stolen.They all had fun at the dance, but right after that everyone found out that Nina was the thief that stole every-one's things.
Now that things were back to normal, Claire and Massie had to go talk to the boys. So they did, but the only reason why the guys weren't talking to them was because Nina said it was bad luck. It would be bad luck for the guys in there soccer game.I guess Nina was wrong because they didn’t even win their game, and Derrington, the only goalie they really have, got hurt. Kristen, and her boy hair cut, got on the field and was the goalie for the rest of the game.
When Massie was talking to Derrington, he explained everything and he was apologizing for what he had done. They just really sat in the soccer players cage below the field and talked. But that was opposite for Cam and Claire, well first off they were talking. He was apologizing, but then Claire got her first kiss with the boy of her dreams. Well she thought she did until she realized that is wasn't Cam.
You are going to have to read the next books to see who it is she actually kissed. See these books can be so fun to read. A couple of people recommended this book to me, so right now i am asking some of the girls to read at least the first book. Now the essay i just wrote is only the fourth book. So there will be a lot of more interesting things going on in the Clique serious.
